FARMINGTON - Judith M. Nichols, age 77, a longtime resident of Farmington, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born August 1, 1940 and raised in Rochester, a daughter of Joseph Menard and Doris (Howe) Young.
Judy was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1958. She resided for many years in Farmington, where she raised her family. Most recently she lived in New Durham with her daughter.
Prior to retirement she worked as Assessor with the Town of Farmington.
Judy loved to play "Words with Friends", watching game shows and sports and was a huge Patriots fan. She enjoyed traveling and took many trips to Las Vegas in the past, thrilled by the excitement of the nightlife and shows. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her iPad, loved all animals, most especially her kitties.
Survived by her four children: Doris Murphy, Lynette and husband Steve Arnold, Wanda and husband John Chamberlin, Maurice Nichols and Donna Drapeau; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; a sister Patricia Locke; brother Robert Menard; many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her mother, father, and brother Edward Menard.
