Karyn A. Cleary ... devoted animal lover; at 69

ROCHESTER - Karyn A. Cleary, 69, of Rochester, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2026. She was born on March 17, 1956, in Mount Vernon, New York, to the late Maureen and Arthur Cleary.

Karyn grew up in White Plains, New York, and graduated from White Plains High School in 1974. She went on to attend the University of Richmond in Virginia. After spending many summers with her family in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Karyn made New Hampshire her permanent home.

She was first married to Louis Mellardo, with whom she later divorced, and then to Robert Lipperman, who predeceased her.

Karyn was an avid reader, a talented artist, and a devoted animal lover. Above all else, she cherished her role as "Grandma Kit," which brought her immense joy and pride.

She is survived by her children, Jackie and husband Frank, Samantha, and Kevin; and by her beloved grandchildren, Grace, Frankie, Robbie, and Norah.
