CONCORD - Kathleen E. Gardner, 63, of Concord, died on Friday, December 28, 2018, at home, surrounded by her loved ones, after a long courageous battle with MSA. She was born in Rochester, daughter of the late Robert Roy and Elizabeth (Cummings) Roy.
Kathy attended Spaulding High School in Rochester before receiving her associate degree in accounting, from McIntosh College. She enjoyed a long career in accounting, meeting some of her dearest friends along the way.
Kathy enjoyed gardening, kayaking, UNH Hockey, vacations at the Cape, being close to the water, spending time with her friends and family, including shopping with Debbie, but especially the time she spent with her sons. She was an avid New England sports fan and could not believe she'd seen the Red Sox win the World Series four times. Her smile was infectious and her love of life sublime. She was at peace with her journey, having made the most of her "dash"; the time between her year of birth and her year of death, with her greatest accomplishment in life being her boys, Cory and Tim.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Roy.
Kathy leaves behind her loving wife, JJ Hall; her beautiful boys, son, Cory Gardner and his husband Joseph Bragdon; son, Timothy Gardner and his wife, Kirby; her brother Robert "Skip" Roy and his wife, Dena; her brother, Thomas Roy; as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved service dog, Dory.
