Kathleen Michaud ... longtime Rochester Elks member

ROCHESTER - Kathleen (Kal) Michaud died on Monday, January 11, 2021, at home with family by her side. She was born April 21, 1940 in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of John and Antoinette (Bouchard) Babin.
She graduated from Caribou High class of 1959. Kal had an interesting work history. While in Caribou with her first husband Richard, who was a civilian employee of the Air Force, she worked at several stores, and was a potato jobber supervising many pickers. When Richard was transferred to Pease, AFB she worked as a security guard at Data General, then as a medical slide packer at Erie Scientific, and finally she went to work for John McLean Shearman MD, who trained her to be a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and lab technician. She remained there until retirement.
Kal was a member of the Elks, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the Daughters of Isabella. Kal liked playing cards, and enjoyed visiting casinos from time to time. She really liked attending functions at the Rochester Elks.
Kal is survived by her second husband Bernard Manning; her son Mark (Debbie) Michaud of Portsmouth; her son Anthony (Rhonda) of Rochester; stepdaughter Sally (Michael) Camire of Prattville, Ala.; and stepson Patrick (Dorothea) of Houston, Texas. She also leaves several sisters and brothers, Paul, John, Ursula, Diane, Mack, Barbara, and Faith.
Kal was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Richard Michaud, and siblings Elaine, Leo, Thomas, and Michael.
Kal leaves a special granddaughter Kaitlyn Michaud of Rochester, and several step grandchildren, and great-grandchildren scattered around the country.
