BARRINGTON - Kathleen "Kay" Sanfacon, 95, of 1 Heron Way Barrington, died on Feb. 5, 2023. A vibrant and loving woman, Kay lit up any room she entered with her sharp wit and infectious laughter. Born in Rochester, on March 13, 1927, she lived a full life rich with love, family, and music.

Kay was a graduate of St. Mary's Parochiat School and Spaulding High School, class of '45. She worked at New England Tel &Tel Company and honed her singing skills at the Metropolitan Conservatory of Music in Boston. She was a talented singer, a member of the General Electric Glee Club, and performed in various shows and events, including the Sound of Music at the Rochester Opera House.

Kay also sang in the New England Mutual Hall in Boston in 1945 for the benefit of the servicemen and women in uniform. She was an active member of the class of '45, the Rochester Alumni Assoc. Inc, the monthly class luncheons, and an active member of the yearly class reunion committee. She was also an active member of St. Mary's Church, where she served as an organist and choir member for many years.

Kay was a beacon of love and devotion, having been married to her late husband Paul for an impressive 73 years. She was not only a devoted wife, but also a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kay was a lover of life, relishing in simple pleasures such as reading, solving puzzles, and playing cards, particularly Rummy. On weekends, she often spent time overlooking the lake, engaging in several hands of Rummy with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, creating memories that will forever be cherished by all. Her zest for life and love of family made her a beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Kay was surrounded by a loving family, including her daughter Linda Chick and her husband Michael, as well as her three sons, Richard Sanfacon and his wife Madelyn, Gerald Sanfacon and his wife Dianne, and Ronald Sanfacon and his wife Laurie.

She was also blessed with twelve beloved grandchildren, including Joseph Veno and his wife Debbie, James Veno and his wife Annalise, Molly Sanfacon, Jill Sanfacon French and her husband Brian, Tyler Sanfacon, Alex Sanfacon and his fiancée Kayleigh, Hayley Sanfacon, and Dylan Sanfacon. Additionally, she had three step-grandchildren, Carter Pelletier, Connor Mondou and Cameron Mondou.

She was also a proud great-grandmother to Addison and Audrina French, Isabella and Remy Veno, Faith, Wyatt, Liam, Owen Veno, Arianna, and Arlo Sanfacon. All of them will deeply miss her and keep her memory and her legacy of love and happiness close to their hearts always.
