ROCHESTER - Kenneth B. Wood, 88, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the Rochester Manor, Rochester His loving and devoted family was by his side.
Born in Groveland, Mass. on December 31, 1928 he was the son of John Bertram and Annebelle Wood. He resided in Groveland for over 55 years and has lived in the Rochester for the past 14 years. Kenneth was a graduate of Salem State College and The University of New Hampshire. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.

He was a guidance counselor in the Pentucket School System for almost 30 years. After retiring from Pentucket Regional High School he was a substitute teacher at Kingswood High School in Wolfeboro for over 10 years. He was a member of the Groveland American Legion Post # 248 and a Master Mason with Unity Lodge #62 in Wakefield/Union.
Kenneth can be best described as a wonderful dedicated teacher, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a very humble, kind, gentle, generous, loving man.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna J. Haack and her husband Terrance of Sparta, Wis., Jane Russsell and her husband Scott of Farmington, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one niece.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce S. Wood, daughter, Gail A. Ortiz and sister, Lois Gilman.
