Key metric in gauging virus grip on New Hampshire down by 40% in past month

CONCORD - The number of people being monitored across the state for COVID-19 has dropped by some 40 percent in the past month, another key metric that shows the virus is easing its grip on the Granite State.

Meanwhile, DHHS announced 27 more confirmed cases, including one under 18 and three from Strafford County.

One new hospitalized case was identified for a current total of 11 statewide.

The number of those being monitored by contact tracers on July 25 was 3,525. Today that numbers is down to 2,100.

Locally, Dover currently has five cases, while Rochester, Somersworth, Barrington, Farmington and Strafford all have 1-4; Milton has none.
