EAST ROCHESTER - Larry J. Davis, age 79, of East Rochester, died on Thursday, July 20, 2017 after a brief struggle with cancer.
Born February 28, 1938 in Duluth, Minn., one of seven siblings, a son of John and Norma (Kilty) Davis.
After serving in the Army he became a resident of Lynn, Mass., where he raised his family for the next 50 plus years. He was a loving husband, a doting father and took pride in having all his family around him.
Survived by his wife of 59 years,
Betty J. (Lessard) Davis and their five children, John Davis and companion Susan; Barry and wife Julie Davis; Jeffrey and wife Kathy Davis; Lorri and husband Doug Gunnison; Jerry Davis and companion Samantha; 12 grandchildren, Brad, Kasilyn, Kyle, Tyler, Justice, Kendal, Jamen, Shamus, Jackson, Jayden, Bryce and Vanessa; three great grandchildren and one on the way, four siblings, Boyd Davis, Wesley Davis, Judy Klug and Russell Davis, also many nieces and nephews.

Larry worked at General Tire in Reading, Mass., until they closed and then at IXYS in Beverly Mass., for the last 28 years up until his struggle. He loved being with his family, his beloved dog Olli, was an avid fisherman, annual family camping trips to make his specialty blueberry pancakes and hunting for treasures to sell at his flea markets.
