Lawrence elected to fill vacant Ward 2/Seat B position

ROCHESTER - Rochester's City Council on Tuesday elected Rachel Lawrence to fill the vacant Ward 2/Seat B position.

Three candidates originally applied for the slot, but Rochester Regional Republican Committee Chair Carlton Cooper withdrew prior to Tuesday's vote.

Raymond Turner had also applied.

Immediately following the decision, City Attorney Terence O'Rourke conducted the oath of office and Lawrence took her place on the dais.
