Leah Frances Varney ... enjoyed camping, crocheting

LEBANON - Leah Frances Varney, 72, of Lebanon, died May 9, 2016, with her loving family at her side.

Leah was born June 5, 1943, in Central Falls, R.I., a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Jalbert) Moore.

Leah graduated from Somersworth High, Class of 1961, and married her sweetheart, Roger L. Varney, on June 30, 1962.

She worked at General Electric in Somersworth.

Leah loved going to camp in Errol, N.H., crocheting and was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Church in Somersworth. Most importantly, she loved her family, and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Edmund Vachon, and her sister, Doris Lariviere.

Leah is lovingly remembered by her husband Roger, her daughter Tracey Varney and her significant other, Ada; her son Charles and his wife Beverly; her surrogate sons Robert Remick Jr. and his wife Danielle and Roy Remick Sr., and his wife Shannon; her sisters, Georgette Tsouklas and Louise LaChance; three grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Roy Remick Jr., Robert Remick III and Renee Remick; many nieces and nephews, and special nephew Dana Lariviere and his wife, Kerin, and her Boston "Yankee" terrier, Angel.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may visit on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 5-8PM at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, 36 Rochester Street, Berwick, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11AM at Holy Trinity Church in Somersworth, NH. Interment will follow in Forest Glade Cemetery in Somersworth, NH.
