About half of Lebanon, Maine, households remain in the dark today following a withering snow and ice storm that ravaged the region on Saturday.

As of this morning about 1,850 Lebanon customers were still without power.

CMP officials emailed customers on Sunday that with more than 100,000 outages still to be reconnected they anticipate a multi-day restoration, with many told it would likely be later in the week before their power would be back on.

Maine was hit much harder than New Hampshire. In fact the Granite State has only about 21,000 customers still on the outage list, about the same number as York County in Maine alone.

Rochester, which had more than 5,000 households in the dark on Sunday, has only 197 today. Barrington, meanwhile, has 468 customers still without power, followed by Dover with 94, Somersworth with 42, Farmington with 27 and Milton with seven.

Also in Maine, 157 Acton households were powerless as well as 932 in Berwick.
