Lebanon Festival 2018 planning in early stages

LEBANON, Maine - The Lebanon Festival is scheduled for May 19 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. - rain or shine.

While much of the festival is still being planned already set is a 5K race in the morning as and a dunk tank featuring Selectmen Chairman Chip Harlow and likely others.

Also confirmed is a bounce house for kids, an obstacle bounce for adults (and kids), and a strongman hammer game.

There will also be hourly Bingo in the Hanson gym.

Festival organizers are also asking anyone who would like to please donate raffle items.

Other attractions include a pie-eating contest and a movie night following the festival on the soccer fields.

As always, a vendor spot is free for Lebanon residents.

The next scheduled meeting to discuss the festival more will be Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Martha Sawyer Community Library at the Hanson School.
