Lebanon man charged in domestic threatening case released on bail

LEBANON, Maine - The Lebanon man arrested on Saturday in a domestic dispute that included alleged threats with a machete was released from jail on Monday after posting bail.
Maxime Sainteloi, 41, of Wiswell Lane, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Springvale District Court on Monday and was released on $1,000 cash bail, personnel at York County Jail said today.
The incident unfolded around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday as police received a call from the wife of Sainteloi, who said her husband "was armed with a bladed weapon and was threatening his family," according to a Sunday press release from Maine Dept. of Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Maine State Police Troopers were dispatched to 34 Wiswell Lane in Lebanon, but found Sainteloi, 41, had left the residence.
State troopers caught up with Sainteloi around 9:20 p.m. at the Cumberland Farms at 28 Levesque Drive in Elliot, where he was arrested.
He was charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
