ROCHESTER - A Lebanon man was charged with Driving after Suspension on Saturday after an accident in Rochester in which he was apparently rear-ended by another motorist while stopped at a red light.

Joseph Corr of Lebanon was found by Rochester Police to have his license status suspended in New Hampshire during the investigation into the crash. He was issued a summons to appear at the 7th District Court on June 3.

The accident occurred on Columbus Avenue around 3:10 p.m. when Corr was stopped at a stoplight in his 1999 Ford Ranger when it was struck from behind by a 1996 Jeep Cherokee driven by an Acton, Maine, man.

According to Rochester Police, the driver of the Cherokee said his foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator which caused the crash.

As a result of the collision, a Milton man who was a passenger in Corr’s vehicle was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for an apparent minor injury.

A dog in the Acton man’s car was not injured, police said.
