Lebanon teen faces stiff sentence in fentanyl trafficking case

DOVER - A Lebanon teenager is facing up to 70 years in prison after her indictment earlier this month on drug possession and trafficking charges.

Tianna Fermino, 19, with a last known address of 12 Evergreen Lane in Lebanon, Maine, was arrested May 21 in Somersworth and found in possession of several drugs including fentanyl, LSD and buprenorphine, an opioid substitute often used to treat opioid withdrawal symptoms.

The most serious charge is a special felony that calls for a 20-40 year prison sentence for her alleged possession with intent to sell more than a gram of fentanyl.

The other two charges are Class A felonies with maximum sentences of 15 years apiece.

The stiff penalties are due to a March conviction for a similar drug offense just two months before her Somersworth arrest.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down Aug. 16 and released on Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
