ROCHESTER - Lisa Stanley Rocheleau, 54, of Rochester, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after 11 days in the ICU due to a gunshot wound to the head, sustained the morning of May 1.

She was born in Rochester on July 23,1968, the daughter of Carol Brown and Robert Stanley Sr.

Lisa grew up in Strafford, and at an early age started her own company: Action Title Services, LLC. Afterwards, she obtained her undergraduate degree from the University System of New Hampshire, not out of necessity but as an accomplishment. The ability to build a business demonstrated how hard she worked to provide a good life for her family.

Lisa loved traveling and exploring new places and cultures, and she ensured that she shared those experiences with loved ones. She was the most generous, kind-hearted person anyone could meet, and always helped others where she could. A memory that stands out is her love for cooking a family meal for others. It was always amazing, however she would still worry the whole time if the pot roast were too dry.

Lisa was not only the most amazing person, but also the most amazing mother. Being a single mother is not an easy task and she raised three successful young men who inherited her kind heart. She never hesitated to tell them how proud she was and how much she loved them. Her love and massive heart were reflected on everyone she came in contact with. Lisa was not only incredibly intelligent but also had an amazing sense of humor. Her laugh was contagious. There are no words good enough to describe the kind of person Lisa was and anybody who knows her knows how beautiful she was inside and out.

Lisa is survived by three children, Cameron, Eric and Adam Rocheleau; siblings, Holly Matthew, Sherri Abbott, Cathy Miller and Scot Lemieux; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stanley Jr.

Lisa will never be forgotten; she will forever be watching over her loved ones and has sent them all signs showing that she's still with them.

A victim of domestic violence herself, she will posthumously make a difference through a charity whose goal will be to spread awareness about the warning signs of domestic violence, as well as help to provide escape plans for those who may be at risk leaving an abusive relationship.
