Look for harvest of large crowds at this weekend's McToberfest celebration

MILTON - Finally, the weekend that's been six months in the making.

That's right, McKenzie Farm's McToberfest celebration is today and Sunday with plenty of attractions for young and old and crazy yummy food to boot.

Besides picking your own apples, there will be two mazes for the kids: a hay maze for free and a corn maze for $3.

There will also be alpacas to pet and Alpaca cloth products for sale.

Two sheep herding demos are scheduled for today at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Other kids' activities include free face painting, and pumpkin painting for $2.

Foodwise, there will be cider, homemade doughnuts, caramel apples and famous Farma's Barbecue, including pulled pork, baked beans, hot dogs and fried dough.

The Boy Scouts will also be on hand selling popcorn.

A display of Mama Africa, including African products, will benefit women in Zimbabwe.

Free wagon rides will also be available, and a live band will provide entertainment.

The Northeast Pond Road farm is open both days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the attractions in full swing from 10-4.
