Louisiana woman nabbed for OUI after crashing Jeep into utility pole

ARUNDEL, Maine - A Louisiana woman was arrested for drunken driving on Sunday after her SUV crash into a utility pole in Arundel.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on Hill Road near Alfred Road around 3:15 p.m.

Deputies and Arundel Fire/ Rescue arrived at the scene to find the driver entrapped with wires surrounding the vehicle.

After CMP crews arrived and made the wires safe first responders rendered aid to the operator, Lynn Pomerleau, 47, of Baton Rouge, La., who was charged with operating under the influence.

The road was shut down for several hours.
