DOVER - Madeline Poitras, 96, of Dover died peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
Born on November 20, 1924, Madeline was the daughter of Charles and Rose (Gingras) Belanger. She grew up in Dover, and she went on to graduate from Dover High School.
Throughout her life, Madeline was known as a hard worker, and she could even be found roofing her garage in her seventies. She was very dedicated to her vegetable garden and always looked forward to canning in the summertime. Madeline also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and building puzzles.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Poitras; daughter, Janice Carignan; brothers, Albert Belanger, William Belanger, Wilfrid Belanger, and Raymond Belanger; and sisters, Eva Pomeroy, Jeannette Couture, and Rose Hutchings.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Michael Poitras; son-in-law, Ronald Carignan; grandsons, Brice Carignan and Jake Carignan; great-grandson, Chase Carignan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
