hoopla Audio Book Recommendation

Main Desk Librarian, Stephanie, says : "Are you ready to listen to a thriller with a unique plot twist? Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian features a different kind of protagonist. Chloe Sevre is a student at a DC area college. She is a psychopath. The thing is, she is one of seven, all offered a free ride to attend this college as part of a study by a well-known psychologist and professor who is an expert on the field. These students are never supposed to meet, just check in on an app and record their emotions over the course of their days and meet with the professor. Chloe is willing to be part of this study because she has an ulterior motive, a boy attends this particular college. One who wronged her and she is seeking revenge. Will she succeed in her plan? Will the identities of these select students remain a secret from each other? Listen to this audiobook and find out! You can listen instantly with hoopla, no waiting. Or read the book, we have it available for checkout!"

DVD Movie Recommendation

Main Desk Librarian, Stephanie, has another film recommendation this week. "One of my very favorite movies is I'm Not Scared, an Italian film set in a small town in the late 1970s and revolves around an idyllic summer in the life of 9-year-old Michele (wonderfully acted by Giuseppe Cristiano). While playing with his sister and their friends in an abandoned building, Michele makes a discovery that will change his life and the lives of those closest to him. The countryside setting is beautiful and the events that unfold are based on real incidents that took place in Italy around that time. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys foreign films and is not afraid of subtitles!"
