ROCHESTER - The suspect who police say robbed a man at knifepoint inside a Rochester convenience store on Thursday was taken into custody on Saturday after officers caught up with him on Academy Street.
Domenic A. Peters, 20, of Goffstown, but who formerly lived in Rochester, was arrested without incident around 4:15 p.m., police say.
He was charged with armed robbery, robbery and theft, and bailed on personal recognizance pending his arraignment.
The robbery took place around 8 p.m. on Thursday when it was alleged he got into an argument with an unidentified man - described as an acquaintance of his - inside the Knight Street Cumby's.
According to police, Peters brandished a knife and stole money from the man's hand as he waited to pay the cashier.
The victim is a Rochester man in his 20s, police say.
