NORTH CONWAY - A Conway man was arrested Monday on child porn charges following a months-long investigation by state and local police.
Matthew Lautenschlager, 29, was charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault, manufacturing child sexual abuse images and seven counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited.
The probe into Lautenschlager's activities began in July when the Carroll County Attorney's Office referred this case to the State Police from the Conway Police Department. The Troop E Detectives conducted an investigation, with the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police Special Investigations Unit, into multiple social media accounts in which Lautenschlager is alleged to have solicited minors for child sex abuse images.
Multiple interviews with minors ultimately resulted in his arrest. Lautenschlager is being held on preventative detention pending his initial court appearance today.
