Man charged with DWI, hit-and-run after hitting sign, curb at Rochester Crossing

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on drunken driving and conduct after an accident charges after police say he struck a sign at the Rochester Crossing before stopping at the Washington Street Shell.

Officers made contact with the suspect at the gas station around 7 p.m., and after speaking to him and a witness, it was determined that he was leaving the Lowe's Plaza when he struck a sign and curb, police say.

Edward Murray, 21, of Sandstone Lane, was released on personal recognizance bail pending an arraignment next month.

Both charges are Class B misdemeanors.
