CONCORD - A Wolfeboro man was sentenced on Tuesday to seven years in federal prison for robbing two Rochester banks last October.

On Oct. 5 Jacob Chiaradonna, 28, entered a Citizens Bank in Rochester and handed a teller a note that read "Give me all your $50 and $100, I have a gun don't be stupid," according to court records.

Then on Oct. 11, he robbed a TD Bank in Rochester, handing a teller a note that read "give me your 20′s, 50′s, 100′s, I have a gun."

After both exchanges Chiaradonna fled the banks, according to a press release from the state Attorney General's office.

Images of the robberies were posted on television, social media and in newspapers like The Lebanon Voice, and several individuals familiar with Chiaradonna came forward to identify him as the robber.

He was arrested on Oct. 13 at a motel in Wolfeboro.

A search of Chiaradonna's cell phone from the motel turned up an Internet browsing history that included visits to web pages providing advice on how to rob a bank.

Chiaradonna previously pleaded guilty to the two bank robberies on March 16. After serving his prison sentence, he will be on supervised release for a period of 3 years.

The case was jointly investigated by the Police Departments of Rochester and Wolfeboro, and by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Marshals Service. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shane B. Kelbley.
