GONIC - A Nottingham man was arrested for drunken driving on Tuesday after police say he plowed into two other vehicles during rush hour traffic on Gonic Road.
Police were first dispatched around 5:40 p.m. for reports of a a red Nissan operating erratically on Gonic Road (route 125 south).
As an officer was being dispatched to check for the vehicle another officer came upon a three-vehicle collision further southbound on Gonic Road which involved a red Nissan.
A brief investigation revealed that a 2012 Ford Focus operated by John Clark, 53, of Nottingham and a 1989 Dodge Dynasty operated by Glen Billings, 54, of Gonic, were both stopped at the traffic signal at the intersection of Gonic and Chesley Hill roads when the red 2009 Nissan Murano operated by Kyle Tasker, 31, traveling southbound rear-ended the Dodge, which then hit the Ford.
Both the Nissan and Dodge sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene, while the Ford was able to be driven away.
All involved parties refused medical treatment on scene from EMS.
As a result of the investigation police arrested Tasker for DWI, a Class B misdemeanor. He was released on $1,000 cash and is scheduled for arraignment at Rochester District Court later this month.
