EAST WAKEFIELD - Marcia (Peck) Hodsdon, 75, of Wakefield, died peacefully at home with family on Friday, March 2, 2018 after a year of declining health.
She was born in Rochester on January 5, 1943. She was the daughter of William H. and Mary Rita (Bowen) Peck. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Sears Hodsdon.
Marcia graduated from Spaulding High School and the University of New Hampshire and was a dedicated elementary school teacher. She most recently taught school in Rye.
Marcia loved skiing, camping, adventure travel, the Iditarod, Christmas, and spending time with family and friends. She served on the Gafney Library Board of Trustees.
She is also survived by her sons Jeffrey Hodsdon (Melissa) and John Hodsdon (Christine); grandchildren Ben, Andrew, Samuel and Daisy; sisters Marilyn (Colquhoun) and Sarah (Richman); and brother Bill.
