ROCHESTER - Margaret E. Leger, 89, of 570 Portland St. died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at Riverside Rest Home after a period of failing health.
She was born Feb. 28, 1928 in Somersworth the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Breton) Crawford. She has resided 55 years in Rochester and had worked in local shoe factories. Margaret enjoyed spending summers at their camp on Pleasant Lake for 30 years. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and traveling.
Members of her family include her loving husband of 60 years, John Leger; sister, Joan Taylor of Hagarstown, Md.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, William, Henry, Edward Crawford, Beatrice Hamel, Mary LePage and Lois Sargent.
