Mark D. Lyons ... enjoyed fishing; at 51

SOMERSWORTH - Mark D. Lyons, 53, died on Friday, May 17, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 27, 1970, in Rochester he was the son of Victor and Beryl Lyons Sr.

Mark enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Millsfield and spending much time on his ATV/UTV exploring the outdoors. He had a love for music, fishing, both in the summer and on the ice. He enjoyed watching birds, especially the hummingbirds at the camp. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Badger and Loki. He will leave behind a lasting impression as being the best husband, father, and Baba (grandfather) as he had a very special bond with his grandchildren.

Members of his family include his wife Laura (Knight) Lyons of Somersworth; his son David Lyons and companion Emily Martin of Milton, Vt., and daughter Ashley DiBernardo and husband Matthew of Whiteland, Ind.; two grandchildren Rylee and Nolan, his mother Beryl Lyons of Rochester; one brother, Victor Lyons Jr., and wife Sharman of Gonic; his niece Jennifer Guinane and husband Dave of Farmington and nephew Alex Lyons of Gonic. He also leaves behind many other close family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Victor Lyons Sr.
