ROCHESTER - Mark K. Mitchell, 61, of Maplewood Avenue, died on Sunday morning, February 11, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Born January 26, 1957 in Rome, N.Y., he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Matthew Mitchell and the late Ellen T. Mitchell.
Mark served in the US Air Force from 1977-1982 and worked at Pease Air Force Base as an EMT and then went to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as an X-Ray Tech. He then went into Real Estate and the Alignment Services of North America. He was an avid sports fan. He loved hunting, fishing and taking hikes in the woods.
Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Mitchell; two sons, Patrick and Brian Mitchell; daughter-in-law Kaeli; granddaughter Aeris; two brothers Matthew and Michael Mitchell of Mass.; three sisters, Monica and Margie of Falmouth, Mass., and Maureen of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews.
