MIDDLETON - Maureen R. Hunter, 77, a longtime resident of Middleton, died peacefully at Riverside Rest Home in Dover on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Born June 27, 1939, in Rochester, a daughter of William Thomas Leighton and Leona Matilda (Grace) Hunter, she resided in Middleton for most of her life and resided the past 14 years at Riverside Rest Home.
Maureen enjoyed embroidery, quilting an cross word puzzles.
Survived by her husband James B. Hunter and their six children: Frank and wife Nell Hunter, Rocky and wife Darlene Hunter, Rose Hunter, Phillip and wife Kimberly Hunter, Margaret and husband Shaun Sargent, Bruce and wife Rachel Hunter, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, her brother Rodney W. Leighton and her sister Mabel Stanley, also several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Beulah Smith
