MFPL notes: 4th of July float in planning stage

MILTON - Calling all volunteers: It is time to put together a spectacular float for this year's July 4th parade in Milton Mills. We will meet on Thursday afternoons (June 13, June 20 and June 27) to put one together from 4-5.

 Speaking of July 4: It is certainly not too late to join in the fun. The parade will start at the Milton Free Public lIbrary in Milton Mills at 11. Anyone wishing to participate should plan on getting to the library parking lot by 10:30. Please contact Betsy Baker at the library for more information. (603) 473-8535. The Friends of the Milton Free Public Library will be host a soda tasting in Wombeck Park after the parade.

Plant sale a success: Big "thank you" to: Mckenzie's Farm in Milton, Amy Sosman from Blooms and Such at Red Gate Farm in Milton Mills, Joan Jackson of 4J's Earthworks in Rochester, Farm Field in Lebanon, Carol Griffin of CG Nails at Northendz in Milton, Cameron's in Farmington, Eva Christiensen of Earthtenders in Farmington, Mike Taatjes from Milton Hardware in Milton, Les Elder, Susann Brown, Barbara Hughes, Gordon and Wendy Parsons from the Music Mill in Milton Mills, Jen Palmatier, Donna Nelson, Milton Recreation, Ann Marie Ritche,Bill Chase or New Durham, Barbara Singelais from Sanbornville, Sara from Craigslist, and especially Betty Ann Beam and Ally Lawrence for the donations and hard work that made our plant sale such a success and our children's gardens close to fruition.

Let's get planting: We will be planting those gardens Saturday, June 22 at 9 a.m. This is a children's garden, so kids- come join us.
