ROCHESTER - Michael Glenn Miller died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born Portsmouth, son of the late Kenneth E. and Phyllis S Miller.
Raised in Hampton, and attended Winnacunnet HS class of 1964. Member of WHS Wrestling Team. Founder and Key Member of the Rye Beach Surf Club.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard where he held positions as draftsman ultimately rising to the Vice President and President of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Union. A very important part of his life was spent as a longtime friend of Bill W. and the relationships he developed. He further developed this relationship by counseling and speaking at the Southeastern New Hampshire Services Center.
Survived by son Michael Glenn Miller Jr.; siblings sister Patricia and husband Donald Hersey, brother Bruce Miller, brother Kerry and Wife Claudia Miller, sister Gayle and husband Frank Allard; several nieces and nephews; one grandniece; and special granddaughters.
