MILTON - Out of an abundance of caution, Milton Rec Director Karen Brown said she made the tough decision today to cancel Milton's 28th Annual Winter Carnival.
"With the rain coming in and temperatures in the 50s today, and the pond is already sketchy, we just can't take a chance on anyone getting hurt," Brown said.
The meat raffle and pool tournament events will still take place on Friday night at the Milton Moose.
The Moose, which is now smoke free, will also host a Boy Scout spaghetti fund-raiser on Saturday night.
