ROCHESTER - The Utilities Division of the Department of Public Works will be turning off the water in areas surrounding portions of Cross Roads and Milton Road on Monday at 11 p.m. The water will be restored on Tuesday at 7 a.m.
The reason for the temporary shutdown is to allow crews to replace a gate valve and fire hydrant near 181 Milton Road.
During this time, residents will experience little or no water pressure, air, or discoloration. The discoloration is from naturally occurring minerals in the water lines. If needed, please run a cold water tap for a short time to clear your water.
For questions or concerns, contact DPW at (603) 332-4096.
