Milton man injured in hit-and-run in Rochester

ROCHESTER - A Milton man was hurt when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking north on Milton Road near Daffodil Lane in Rochester on Friday night.

Police got the call around 10:30 p.m. and learned that the suspect vehicle could be a a dark colored minivan.

The man walking, Chris Lawyer, 37, was struck from behind as he was walking north toward Milton. The vehicle is said to have continued north.

Lawyer was transported to Frisbie Memorial with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Rochester police ask anyone who may have information on the case to contact Officer Justin Seckendorf at the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128. Tipsters can also call the Rochester Crime Line at 335-6500 or by text to CRIMES (274637). Cash rewards are offered for information that leads to an arrest.
