ROCHESTER - A Milton man was arrested earlier this month for his second DWI after colliding with another vehicle on Columbus Avenue near Kentucky Fried Chicken in December.
The crash occurred on Dec. 6 around 5:15 p.m., shortly after dark, drawing a swift response from Rochester Police who arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage to both vehicles that were in the roadway.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota Avalon driven by Brian Leclerc, 47, of Milton, had collided with a Dodge pickup truck. and it appeared that the Avalon crossed the double yellow line and struck the Dodge, police say.
LeClerc was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The driver of the Dodge was not hurt.
During the investigation it was determined LeClerc was under the influence and that he also had a prior DUI charge. His BAC after the December crash was .16, more than twice the legal limit, according to Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham.
LeClerc was arrested for aggravated DWI on April 18 following the issuance of a warrant. He was arraigned on April 21 and released on personal recognizance bail pending his next hearing.

His first DWI was in 2017.
