Award-winning magician Mike Bent brings his Readers of the Lost Book Magic Show to Wombeck Park in Milton Mills at 10 a.m. on July 24.

This family-friendly program uses amazing magic, storytelling, puppets, mind-reading ants and hilarious comedy to teach children about the importance of reading with fun and exciting stories that show kids that reading can be a real adventure!

This archeology, dinosaurs, bugs and all things dirt show is designed to tie into the national 2013 summer reading theme “Dig Into Reading!”

Bent was named “Best of Boston” by Boston Magazine and won the 2009 “Nickelodeon Parents Picks Award” for “Boston’s Best Children’s Entertainer.”

He has been called “one of the world’s best kid-show magicians” by Hollywood’s Magic Castle. In April, he made his seventh appearance at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. He is also the author of “The Everything Guide to Comedy Writing” and teaches comedy writing at Emerson College in Boston.

Abrakidabra is funded by the Kids, Books and Arts grant supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services , a federal agency, through the Library services and Technology Act.
