ROCHESTER - For the second time in 11 days the Shell Station convenience store on Milton Road was the scene of an armed robbery.

The latest incident occurred early this morning around 1:30 a.m. when a lone suspect entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded cash.

The clerk on duty at the 198 Milton Road store told officers after he complied with the man’s demands, the suspect fled on foot heading northbound and crossing Milton Road.

The clerk was not harmed, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, approximately 5'1"-5'6" tall with a slim build. He was wearing a blue Adidas pullover hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes, possibly sneakers. He also had a dark blue mask covering the majority of his face, a utility work-style glove on his left hand.

He was carrying a fixed-blade knife in his right hand, the blade approximately 4-5 inches in length.

A Rochester Police K-9 Unit was on duty and responded to the scene tracking from the store northbound across Milton Road into the woods to a nearby neighborhood where the track ended.

The same gas station was the scene of a spectacular, brazen daytime robbery on June 25 when two gunmen entered the store during the afternoon commute around 5 p.m. when several customers were inside shopping, brandished weapons and demanded cash from the store clerk.

The two men, one with a shotgun, the other with a pistol, left with the loot and fled north on foot just like the one this morning.

Both of those suspects are still at large. They are both described as white, one with a heavy build, 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, 18-25 years old, blond hair and wearing a Patriots baseball cap, with a red bandanna over his face and a blue shirt with white stripes. He was brandishing a sawed off gray-camouflaged pattern shotgun.

The other suspect has a thin build, is 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and a cloth covering his face, a dark brimmed baseball cap and holding a black long barreled hand gun.

Residents who have any further knowledge of either incident are asked to contact Rochester Police at 330-7127 or call Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards are given for information, which leads to arrests. Tipsters can also text the Rochester Crimline at Crimes (274637).
