DOVER - A Milton woman has been indicted in the 2016 drug overdose death of a 38-year-old Middleton man.

Sara Gatzimas, 37, with a last known address of 28 Evergreen Valley Road, is facing life in prison on a single charge of Acts Prohibited-Death Resulting in the death of Matthew Maleham, who graduated from Nute High School in Milton.

The indictment alleges that on June 20, 2016, Gatsimas "knowingly dispensed a quantity of fentnayl" to Maleham, who subsequently died.

According to his obituary, he died the next day.

Gatzimas is currently out on bail while awaiting trial.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on June 17 and released on Thursday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to warrant moving forward to trial.
