ROCHESTER - Most city workers have been told to stay home today due to the snowstorm that began Sunday afternoon.

That includes those employed at Rochester City Hall, the Tax Office and all other nonessential personnel.

Meanwhile, the winter storm parking ban that was to have expired today at 7 a.m. has been extended due to the severity of the storm and will remain in effect all of today through Tuesday at 7 a.m.

No vehicle without an exemption permit may be parked on city streets or in city parking lots during this time.

And Waste Management has canceled Trash and Recyling Pick up for today as well. They will resume on Tuesday and will operate with a one day delay for the entire week.

Please call Waste Management at 332-2386 or Rochester Public Works office at 332-4096 with any questions
