MILTON - A motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Routes 75 and 125 shut down traffic on both roadways during Monday's afternoon commute.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m., involving a single vehicle that for reasons unknown veered off the right side of White Mountain Highway, struck and sheered off a utility pole and came to rest at the bottom of a hill, according to Milton Police Chief Tom Hebert.
Both roadways reopened around 4 p.m., but may be closed for a short time while linemen restring the power lines taken down in the crash.
The male driver and lone occupant of the car was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
Hebert said the vehicle was likely totaled.
