MILTON - On Tuesday night from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Wednesday White Mountain Highway (Route 125) will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic between Town House Road and Industrial Way.
This closure is essential for the relocation of the Plummer Ridge School House to the New Hampshire Farm Museum.
A traffic management plan will be put in place, directing vehicles to turn around at Industrial Way and Town House Road. Motorists should anticipate delays and are encouraged to seek alternative routes, such as Route 16 via exits 17 and 18.
A separate plan will be implemented for local traffic and residents in the vicinity of Town House Road and Industrial Way. We advise those living in this area to expect delays if traveling during these hours.
Many area residents are expected to turn out Tuesday for the Plummer School's historic move.
Motorists and those who want to watch the move should be aware that White Mountain Highway will be closed to the public between Town House Road and Industrial Way during these hours.
