SANFORD, Maine - Multiple law enforcement agencies raided an alleged Sanford sex trafficking operation on Thursday in Sanford.
The search warrant included corroborated information related to sex trafficking and was approved by a Biddeford Court.
The search at 1328 Main Street, Unit 5, Sanford, was carried out around 4 p.m. and identified multiple victims.
Officers on scene did not encounter any problems and were able to complete the search without incident, according to a release sent out by Sanford Police Thursday evening.
Sanford Police were assisted by the York County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
The victims were offered services, police said.
Due to the ongoing probe and potential danger posed to the victims, no further details of the incident are being released at this time.
No arrests have been reported as of today.
