ROCHESTER - Muriel Arlene (Osborne) Hussey, 93, a resident of Rochester, N.H., died peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 3, 1923 in Springvale, Maine, she was the daughter of Pearl (Carll) Osborne and Charles Osborne.
Muriel was educated in the Rochester schools; worked in local shoe shops; became a nurse's aide through the Wayne School of Chicago; worked at the Canteen Drug Store and the Cress Motel. She performed administrative work for the Women Infant Children (WIC) and most recently volunteered with the Rochester Cemetery Association.
She was passionate about her family genealogy so much so that she was a Life Member of the John Clough Genealogical Society. We were amazed that even at 93 years old, she still had her sharp wit that would make us laugh and blush and would remember the smallest of details about her life.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband Phil W. H. Hussey; son Jonathan W. Hussey; sister Joan Turner and three grandchildren, Rhett Hussey, Kayla Hussey and Joey Belanger, also her friend and loving dog Nigel.
She is survived by her sister Virginia Herries and brother in law Quinton Turner; son Robert Turner and wife Brenda; daughter Janis Reed and husband Andy; daughter Christine Wheeler; son Phil Hussey; son Keith Hussey; son Matthew Hussey and wife Michele; son Jason Hussey and wife Susan along with many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
