N.H. man dead, Mass. man charged with negligent homicide in fatal I-93 crash

SANBORNTON - A rollover crash on Interstate 93 on Sunday resulted in the death of a Lancaster man and the arrest of a Massachusetts man on charges of negligent homicide and aggravated DWI.

John R. Hanna Jr., 52, a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

As a result of an investigation, the operator of the Chevrolet, Casey W. Kirsch, 33, of Weymouth, Mass., was charged with negligent homicide and aggravated DWI. Kirsch is scheduled to appear at the Belknap Superior Court on July 24 at 1 p.m.

The crash occurred around 1:35 p.m. on I-93 South in the area of mile marker 62.4 in Sanbornton when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound before it exited the left side of the roadway into the soft shoulder then re-entered the highway and rolled over.

The operator was transported to Franklin Hospital for evaluation.

The Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene and assumed lead of the investigation.
