N.H. man's truck that rammed elderly woman's house found in Wakefield

ALFRED, Maine - A New Hampshire man was summonsed on Sunday for leaving the scene of property damage in connection with an Acton crash late Saturday nigth in which he drove his one-ton pickup into an elderly woman's home while she slept.
Aaron Lizotte, 46, of Northwood, met a York County Sheriff's Deputy on Sunday after his damaged truck was found on property Lizotte owned in Wakefield and officials traced his registration.
After a discussion, Lizotte admitted he was driving his vehicle with an unknown passenger when his left the roadway, striking the house. Lizotte admitted he fled the scene and failed to report the crash, according to a press release.
YCSO Sgt. David Chauvette and a Newfield firefighters are credited with the discovery Saturday night that the suspect vehicle left a slight impression in the pavement and followed the marks into New Hampshire.
Once in Wakefield Chauvette found the vehicle in a wooded area owned by Lizotte.

The collision literally blew out a hole in the house.

The crash around 11 p.m. Saturday night could have been much more serious as Lizotte's one-ton pickup crashed into an elderly woman's Acton house while she was sleeping, trapping her in her upstairs until she was rescued by first responders.
Witnesses had said the truck appeared to be traveling too fast and could not negotiate a curve on Acton Ridge Road Saturday night when it left the roadway, crossed a lawn and crashed into the woman's home.
The truck was in the vicinity of the Mann Road when the crash occurred.
The woman, who was asleep in an upstairs bedroom, was trapped on the second floor as the crash caused the stairs to collapse and there was too much debris for her to get out of the home herself.
Acton and Newfield Fire and Rescue personnel were summoned to the scene and were able to free the woman.
Lizotte's court date is set for October.
