SOMERSWORTH - Naomi R. Avery, 99, died in Somersworth on June 14, 2023, at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family after a period of failing health.
Born March 23, 1924, to Herbert and Gladys (Rogers) Mitchell.
Naomi was a very talented lady who had the ability to ballet dance, was a musician, an artist, and an author. Her careers show her deep care for the blind, having been a case worker and activities coordinator for the NH Association for the Blind. After her retirement she moved from Pittsfield to Barnstead.
Members of her family include her son, Mitchell Avery and wife Lea Ann, a daughter, Sally Bartels and her husband Wellington, a foster sister, Caroline Hatley, and husband William, 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Nolan Avery, her brothers; Donald, Richard, and Clayton Mitchell.
