National retail beauty leader ULTA lands at The Ridge

ROCHESTER - ULTA Beauty, the largest beauty retailer in the nation, will open a new store at The Ridge this summer.

The announcement came today in an email from Jen Fairfield of Waterstone Retail, the shopping center developer.

ULTA currently operates 874 stores across 48 states. The 25-year-old chain offers more than 20,000 products, and in addition, offers beauty consultations and salon services ranging from hair care to skin touchups to eyebrow shaping.

"We are thrilled to have ULTA Beauty joining an already exciting mix of premier national and local businesses," Josh Levy, principal of Waterstone said in a press release. "This speaks to the powerful regional draw of the Rochester market satisfying the large void that exists."

Three Ridge tenants opened last week, including PetCo, Famous Footwear and Marshall's.

A new Market Basket is expected to open around Independence Day this July.

In the press release it's noted, "This regional shopping destination will become the centerpiece of the 1 million square foot Granite Ridge Development District at the entrance to the Lakes Region and includes a mix of retailers, restaurants, services and a movie theater."
