ROCHESTER - Rochester Police and the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office continue to investigate the Sunday morning shooting death of a Rochester teenager.

Director of Communications for the AG's Office Kate Giaquinto said the investigation into the killer or killers of 19-year-old Michael Mowry is active and ongoing.

"We are pursuing any and all leads," Giaquinto said on Wednesday.
Mowry was found dead around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday by Rochester Police, who responded to 64 Monroe Drive, Apt. 1, after they received multiple 911 calls for a shooting.

An autopsy performed on Monday determined that Mowry's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the neck, and the manner of death was homicide.

Neighbors of the Rochester teen who died say he was an easy going, happy kid, who lived at the apartment with two other young men.

One woman who didn't want to be identified said she had been told by neighbors that had been awoken by the commotion that four individuals broke into the victim's apartment from the rear of the building.

Others in the area said they were shocked at the violence because the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful ... and pretty tony.

The Monroe Drive complex is a mix of condos and apartments, including another apartment at 64 Monroe Drive that was selling as a condo for $239,000 on movoto.com in 2017. It boasted three bedrooms, three baths and 1,700 square feet of living space with a custom kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances.

Annual taxes in 2017 were estimated at just over $5,000. An Airbnb estimate put the monthly rental at $3,837.

Meanwhile, Rochester Police detectives are asking for anyone with information about the shooting to call the Rochester Police Department Crimeline at (603) 335-6500. Callers may leave tips anonymously.
