ROCHESTER - Rochester City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick announced on Tuesday that a new electronic message board has been installed at the Columbus Street entrance to City Hall.

Over the next week, key staff members will receive the software and training required to utilize it, after which it should be in full operation.

"As soon as staff has the final tools and training, this board will be opened up to allow community organizations to announce upcoming events and functions within the city," Fitzpatrick said.

The message board will also be used to announce City of Rochester events, important dates and programs.

The sign was approved by the City Council in the 2016-2017 Capital Improvement Program as another avenue to spread the word about events that occur within the community.

A policy and application form has been created with specifics guidelines to follow when making requests to the city to post information on the board. This policy can be found online at: www.RochesterNH.net

The sign was purchased from Renaissance Sign of Gonic at a cost of $55,965.
